Military:
In June of 1980 I entered the navy
through Boot Camp San Diego, under the navy’s nuclear power program as an
Electrician’s Mate, qualified as an Engineering Watch Supervisor, Navy/Ships
Diver and Assistant Corpsman. Pursued a
bachelors’ degree at night in Manufacturing Engineering. Accepted to AOCS and commissioned as an
Ensign Jun 1990. In July 1996 attended Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey,
California, earning the degree of Master of Science in Personnel
Management. Awards include Meritorious
Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (w/Combat “V”), Navy Achievement Medal
(2), Good Conduct (2), Battle “E” (5), Expert Pistol, and various theater and
unit awards. Retired as a Lieutenant
Commander in February 2007.
The better part of 2007 / 8, I was
contracted to create curriculum and scenario for the ‘Capstone’ of the Navy War
College’s Maritime Staff Operators Course.
