Military:

In June of 1980 I entered the navy through Boot Camp San Diego, under the navy’s nuclear power program as an Electrician’s Mate, qualified as an Engineering Watch Supervisor, Navy/Ships Diver and Assistant Corpsman.  Pursued a bachelors’ degree at night in Manufacturing Engineering.  Accepted to AOCS and commissioned as an Ensign Jun 1990. In July 1996 attended Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, earning the degree of Master of Science in Personnel Management.  Awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (w/Combat “V”), Navy Achievement Medal (2), Good Conduct (2), Battle “E” (5), Expert Pistol, and various theater and unit awards.  Retired as a Lieutenant Commander in February 2007.

The better part of 2007 / 8, I was contracted to create curriculum and scenario for the ‘Capstone’ of the Navy War College’s Maritime Staff Operators Course.
